Heating and cooling loads are met by the building’s HVAC system, which uses energy to add or remove heat and condition the space. This energy use translates to the HVAC component of a building’s equipment loads. Our IES simulation scenarios allow for fast and accurate thermal simulation, a critical aspect of successful building design. It provides data on building performance and allows us to identify and preempt problems by optimising design requirements.
Through energy modelling, we can demonstrate compliance, or predict energy consumption. By conducting a life-cycle cost analysis, we are able to compare different building design alternatives to determine the configuration for lowest costs, including capital costs and energy costs.
Our expertise aided by simulation software helps Architects design more energy efficient buildings and improve the performance of the building for occupant comfort while minimising capital and running costs.
